Preparing for University

Preparing for University

Are you 16-29 years old, and not currently in education, employment, or training? Are you preparing to take the next step into university this September?

Do you live in Coventry or are your new university halls within a Cv1-Cv6 postcode?

Whether you already have a place at university or are applying for clearing, this workshop is for you.

Warwick University Sociology Student Rep and Transformations’ Project Manager, Tayyaba Sadiq will be running this free session on Preparing for University.

This workshop will cover: Coping at university, living away from home, what you will need to take to halls or a student house, preparing for lectures, seminars, and assignments, how to reference, funding and finances, making friends, social groups, and activities in the local area, dealing with loneliness at university and much more.

You will leave the workshop with a resource pack, as well as feeling prepared, confident and empowered for your exciting next steps ahead!

This free workshop will be delivered on both the 30th August and 2nd September, 10am-1pm (this is the same workshop repeated, so there is no need to attend both days.) Light refreshments will be provided.
